About Us

Who We Are
COVENANTS OF PROMISE MINISTRIES (COPM), established in 2000 by Kay Ward-Lawrence, is an international, interdenominational, and evangelical Christian organization. The organization serves the LORD, local church, and world in the areas of evangelism, prayer, liberation, harvest-field ministry preparation, and training.

Mission Statement
To proclaim, edify, and to mobilize messengers so that the message of Jesus Christ in its fullness is more meaningful to all peoples.

Vision Statement
We intend to cause the saints of God to be equipped, proficient, and impassioned in all aspects of evangelism and prayer. We intend to purposefully instruct and train those who have received the call of the Evangelist. We plan to furnish foreign leaders apostolically with the tools that are essential to further the work of Jesus Christ within their assigned regions. We aspire to expand the preaching of salvation and eternal life through Jesus Christ with signs and wonders following.

Value Statement
Christian denominations, just like individuals, families, communities, and even nations exist by diverse preferences, interpretations, and traditions. Although these same traits are evident and oftentimes prevalent throughout Christendom, Covenants of Promise Ministries strives to unify and strengthen all believers in the universal familiarity and functions of John 3:16-18 and the commission of Mark 16:15-18 and John 20:21-23. Therefore, for the purposes of God, and the glory of Christ we endeavor not to highlight the differences that exist among like minded Christians. We labor, to center and build upon the bond and the similarities within Christianity; to yield a massive harvest out of a world plagued by darkness.
What We Do
We (team up) with churches and Christian organizations to further the great commission by conducting evangelism and short-term mission workshops. The workshops are designed for both the congregation and laity ministers. In addition, COPM spearheads and teams up with churches for evangelistic outreach events. Through COPM’s exclusive The Rock Ministry Training Program, we equip, encourage, and establish foreign leaders in persecuted regions and any individuals that possess the five-fold ministry gift of the Evangelist. We reach the nations for Christ and collaborate with foreign churches and leaders, conducting New Covenant Gospel Meetings (i.e. crusades), and ground evangelism in persecuted regions. Additionally, to encourage and strengthen church leaders and believers, we conduct Spiritual Intelligence and Power seminars and classes.

About Covenants of Promise Ministries COPM, Founder and President, Dr. Kay Lawrence

Kay Lawrence is a motivating apostolic evangelist, teacher, and trainer. The anointed ability by which she simplifies and compassionately communicates truths and evangelism along with her eyewitness accounts of the reality of the good news continues to help propel believers from all nations forward in their realm of influence.

In 1991, God placed Kay into the five-fold ministry. Directly speaking to her the Lord said; “I am going to raise you up to be a mighty evangelist.” Over the next decade, she purposefully served under these seasoned and well-respected elders, Dr. Mark Pollard, the late Pastor David Wilkerson, Pastor Jim Cymbala, Pastor Philip Bray, Bishop Holton Horton, and Dr. David Cooper.

Kay’s ministry development and experience advanced by teaching topical and leadership classes. She was appointed as lead minister in the following, adult single ministry, Sunday evening services, prayer for outreach missions and leadership, and minister for new converts. While evangelizing in Mexico, Kay participated in church building, literally and spiritually. Kay is well seasoned and truly an effective fruit bearer based on her own experiences in ministry, ranging from various types of outreach and prison ministry, to public to cross-cultural evangelism.

In 1998, God gave her a literal charge to the nations Joshua 1:1-9. While continuing her domestic evangelism and teaching ministry she founded COPM in 2000. Then, not long after 9/11, The Lord God opened the door to the nations.

Kay’s faith in the Lord and courage oftentimes takes her to nations that persecute and are hostile towards Christ. During missions abroad, she conducts “New Covenant Gospel Crusades”, “Spiritual Intelligence and Power Seminars” for leaders and topical classes for laity. Additionally, she will be seen in remote areas to proclaim and prove the good news of Jesus Christ.

Kay has studied at Jacksonville Theology Seminary, and received from Cambridge Theological Seminary an Honorary Doctor of Divinity. Her ministry experiences and the souls saved, cause her to be received across denominational lines doing speaking engagements and mission festivals. Kay is happily married and has two beautiful daughters.

What We Believe: Statement of Faith

  1. We believe the Bible is God’s word to mankind. We believe in the verbal inspiration and reliably of the Scriptures and the authority of both the Old and New Testaments.
  2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  3. We believe man was created in the image of God, but sinned and fell through
disobedience, and that the entire human race shares in man's lost and depraved nature; in the fall and sinfulness of man, and the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ
  4. We believe in the deity and humanity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His literal bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His priestly intercession, His present rule as Head of the Church and in His personal return in power and glory.
  5. We believe salvation is the gift of God by grace alone and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that this faith is manifested in works pleasing to God.
  6. We believe divine healing is available through the redemptive work of Christ on the cross and that the gifts of signs, wonders, and miracles are still in operation.
  7. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential to live a godly life
  8. We believe the Holy Spirit is the Promise of the Father, the Comforter who indwells and places every believer in the Body of Christ, bestows spiritual gifts upon the Church and convicts the world of sin and the judgment to come.
  9. We believe all believers are in-dwelt by the Spirit of God (Romans 8), we believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a definite endowment of power for service and is separate from conversion. That the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it. The Holy Spirit in a person's life is evidenced by changes in his life, including a renewed love for God, and people, a commitment to the scriptures and holy living. The spirit-filled believer has the capability of speaking with new tongues whether or not he or she chooses to exercise this gifting
  10. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
  11. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, with equality across racial, gender, and class differences.
  12. We believe, marriage is God-ordained. "The creator made them male and female, and said, "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh" (Matthew 19:4-5). Marriage is to be an exclusive relationship, a lifelong faithful union between a man and a woman. This relationship between a husband and wife should parallel the relationship between Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:23-30).
  13. We believe that the ordinances of the church, by the command of Christ, are Water Baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper, both of which are administered to those who are born again according to (Romans 10:9-10)
  14. We believe no man has knowledge of the time of Christ’s return.
  15. We believe that Satan is a real being that Jesus Christ defeated him; and as believers through faith in Christ, we can have victory over darkness, Satan, and the world.
